DropBrigt® VCP (Ascorbyl Palmitate) is a vitamin C derivative formed by the esterification of ascorbic acid and palmitic acid. This modification not only enhances the stability of vitamin C but also retains the reducing functional groups of ascorbic acid in its structure. The incorporation of a lipophilic palmitate chain improves its binding affinity with hydrophobic groups in vivo, enabling it to effectively terminate free radical chain reactions. It exhibits outstanding antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications in food, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical excipients.
